After living somewhere without a bath the last few years, when I finally got one fitted earlier in the year I have been fully abusing the excuse to try all the exciting bath bombs and bubble bars I’d been missing out on. Having just missing out on Easter, Halloween is my first ‘holiday’ where I can get excited about all the limited seasonal offerings, and I couldn’t resist sharing what I have tried over the last week.
- Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb
I have to admit this isn’t one I initially picked up in the store, but my friend who works in the Sheffield Store told me it was one of her faves, and after a little demo I was sold for the scent alone. According to the Lush site it’s inspired by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools with a spicy blend of herbal patchouli and black pepper oil. Not only does the bath bomb smell divine, the aftermath of the bomb makes you feeling like you’re bathing in red wine. I definitely recommend when you’re having a relax after a chilly autumn evening.
2. Monster’s Ball Bath Bomb
This was number one on my wish list, I mean look how cute it is… and definitely paying homage to our favourite one eyed monster – Mike Wazowski. Sweet smelling and leaving a unicorn of colours trailing behind it in the bath, this is the perfect bath accompaniment for your pre-party pamper ritual.
3. Pumpkin Bath Bomb
Now I’m not overly into pumpkin things (yep not a fan of that PSL life) but I couldn’t resist giving this a go based on how cute it looks. It’s a super fast fizzing bath bomb, although I thought it smelt more citrus-y than how I’d expect something pie scented to smell, which I think I actually preferred. I probably wouldn’t stock up on this like I would on the previous too bath bombs though.
4. Boo Bath Melt
I could not resist picking up this little guy in store, wasn’t it the cutest little melt?! Drop him in your hot water and he melts away leaving you with a moisturisingly milky bath to relax in. I didn’t notice the citrusy scent too much though, I’d probably use him alongside another bath bomb or something.
5. Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar
A bit more Cinderella than Halloween… I split this into two, for double the sparkly bubble baths. Perfect when prepping for a night out, I kinda thought I’d come out really glittery but I’m sure most people will be glad to hear it doesn’t make you look like a unicorn, despite what I was hoping for. Fun lil seasonal bubble bar though.
