After what seems like an eternal winter, England has finally embraced some lush Spring weather, at one point it felt like we just skipped Spring and headed straight into the peak of summer. My trusty Saturday adventure pal Jen and I headed over to Chatsworth to make the most of the blue sky and Spring flowers in the gardens, a nice change as it’s been very overcast on my last few visits.
You can also read about the Chatsworth House Style exhibition here.
I’ve never walked up to the kitchen gardens before, right at the top you’re greeted with a lovely view of the hills and stables.
Needless to say almost everyone was having a paddle in the historic water cascade.
It almost looks like this flower in the greenhouse has been painted, it reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
You really can’t beat the view staring down the water at the House and Emperor Fountain.
This was my favourite photo of the day, I just love how all the fresh greenery frames the house.
Also, it’s not a trip to Chatsworth without sharing some snaps of the adorable animals we saw that day in the farm and gardens, there was plenty of babies about.
